Prediction results 15 km Classic Men

Posted by Jan Kocbach, 01 Mar 2011@14:42

A tough day for most of the top favourites in the 15 km classic men today! The big favourite Rickardsson finished 42nd(!), Cologna finished 25th, Bauer 7th, Legkov 20th and Hellner 13th. Nearly 80 people had set up their predictions ahead of this race, and only 4(!) of the ones predicted did better than expected.

Mountainmums shared the top spot in the predictions for the classic 10/15 km races with  NordicXplained – but the predictions (Rønning, Rickardsson, Sundby, Vylegzhanin, Bauer for Mountainmums and Rickardsson, Bauer, Sundby, Rønning, Vylegzhanin for NordicXplained) was far away from the actual results.

In the overall World Champs 2011 predictions, Rauno is still in the lead. The lead has now shrunk to 6 points ahead of the weekends mass start races – todays winner Mountainmums taking the second spot overall.  In third and fourth we have pally and Christpher Tassava.

Thanks Oslo, for the “snow” (bleached dirt?) and all the restrictions in wax-testing before the championship. Homesnow advantage….
